Jikyoku -Chōryushitsu-

This building is the living quarter of the head abbot (Zenji), and it is divided to a public and a personal area. Chōryushitsu is a room of 50 tatami mats where the Zenji formally meets visitors.

The calligraphiy “Chōryushitsu” on the front side is written by the 21st abbot Rev. Shinryu Umeda, “Taizan Hokuto” on the opposite side is written by Taneomi Soejima.
