Gardenia rice


Gardenia fruits, rice, glutinous rice, salt, green soybeans, cherry petals, sake


  1. Divide the gardenia fruits into half and soak in water for about 3 hours.
  2. Mix rice (normal rice 50% and glutinous rice 50%) and rinse. Boil rice with gardenia fruits, a little bit of sake and a pinch of salt. ※When you use glutinous rice, it is better to reduce the quantity of water, also switch on the rice cooker immediately after adding water (glutinous rice easily absorbs water)
  3. Mix rice after it is cooked.
  4. Serve in a bowl with green soybeans and cherry petals.
